Nothing brings excitement quite like a good old road trip! There are many hidden gems throughout the UK to drive your car while enjoying the views and stopping at beautiful places. But where should you go? Check out a few of our favourites…
Cheltenham to Stratford-upon-Avon
Starting in the Cotswolds is dreamy…a picturesque collection of villages that wouldn’t look out of place on a postcard. Driving along the B4632 is a favourite among sightseers. The winding road isn’t a busy road so travellers can enjoy a peaceful ride through through the tranquil hills of the Cotswolds. Why not stop in the historic town of Chipping Campden on the way and soak in the views. When you arrive at Stratford-upon-Avon (birthplace of Shakespeare) check out a performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre!

Bamburgh Castle to Alnwick Castle
If castles are your thing, take a journey across the wild North Northumberland Coast to take in the breathtaking views of Bamburgh Castle. Continue along the roads to Alnwick Castle where Harry Potter was filmed. Northumberland has more castles than any other county in England and the drive will be one to remember!

Hardknott Pass in the Lake District
If you’re a confident driver with a head for heights then this drive could be the one for you! Featuring a number of warning signs about the challenges this drive will give you, who could resist?
Starting at Little Langdale you meander through twists and turns through Wrynose Pass until you reach the warning signs for Hardknott Pass! You’ll begin the climb through a series of (nail biting) hairpin bends until eventually you reach the summit before beginning the descent! Don’t forget to stop to capture photos and make memories on your way up!

Highland Perthshire Loop
You couldn’t go for a drive in Scotland without treating yourself to the 65km Highland Perthshire Loop. Tasing by some of Perthshire’s most gorgeous scenery and sights, its a great (half) day out! Veer off the main road for short visits and exceptional scenery with routes along the River Tay and Loch Tummel.

Before heading off for any of these fabulous road trips, ensure your car is serviced and prepared for the drive. Give us a call if you are unsure of anything and we can help service your Mercedes, check your Mercedes overall condition and give you some advice! 01234 218424
